    Default scary situation

Very bad situation today...my wife and I were walking my dogs today when a loose German Shepard and Saint Bernard got loose and had us cornered and were about to attack us. I had my glock 30sf on me and was about to dispatch the dogs. At the last second the owner ran out. I told her there wouldn't be a second time. Would've been a fiasco shooting two dogs in the street in an upper middle class gated community but I am going to defend my family even if I have to make a spectle of myself...

Have I got the perfect job for you!

I have been in that same situation with my work dog like 500 times... I made a decision years ago that I would wait till the fight started to put the other dog down. 99.9% of the time a good loud yell and a size 13 in the ass will take care of these situations.

I agree 100% (with both points)

Most dogs are not psychopathic killers cruising neighborhoods looking to tear something or someone up and most animals have a fear of humans (unless they are specifically trained not to). If you are aggressive they will most likely leave you alone. Be loud and aggressive and all but the most insane dog will usually back down. Throw a boot in the face, chest or side and you get their attention. Backing down and showing weakness is a sure way to get biten.

Is that to the dog or the dog's owner?

What if you don't have a size 13 handy?
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

I get away with using a 12 quite often.
