Default Wood stakes for metal target stand

The club I go to has a few metal target stands laying around but that's all..I guess I need to bring my own wooden stakes to attach b27 etc. targets. I'm not sure what size stakes I need can anyone help me here?

1"x2"x8' from Lowes or Home Depot. I think they are @$1.50 each. I cut mine to 5' lengths for ease of transport and use large binder clips from Staples to hold the targets to the wood instead of using staples. You can duct tape the 3' pieces together to make 5' length stakes as needed.

You can make a base from 2x4 just run two parallel in the center spaced for the 1x2 and make an H.
