How is this show? It's only maybe a half hour drive for me so if it's worth it, I may check it out.

Honestly, it is a small show. I doubt that there will be beef jerky, tables full of tasers, and cell phone holsters. Unfortunately it is also unlikely that there will be bulk ammo dealers nor extremely large gun dealers. In the past, there has been smaller dealers and private collectors with a random selection of firearms, parts, optics, accessories, knives, militaria, antiques, ammunition, and who knows what else.

People will knock it because it's small, but it's still a gun show. Not every show can be massive, and you never know what kind of deal you can find.

Note that many vendors cannot accept credit cards, so try to bring some cash (it also helps your bargaining power).

The vendors and promoter could use your support.

Nice small show, you can probably go thru it in 30-45 min. No big ammo vendors or big dealers. If you are looking for a special piece you just may find it. A while ago I searched all the big shows for a SW 686 with an 8'' barrel and found one at this show. You never know.....

Just got back from it. Very small. No crowd. Maybe 10-12 sellers total. Maybe 6-7 "gun" dealers, that's it. Saw a couple of M1 Carbines if anyone is looking for one. Surprising lack of "assault weapons". More along the lines of "regular huntin' guns": shotguns, bolt action centerfire rifles, and a few bolt action .22s and one nice Marlin .22Mag. I witnessed a man buying the only (yes, the one and only) Mosin Nagant 91/30 in the show. I looked for and saw no boxes or spam cans of 7.62X54R ammo. No large ammo seller at the show. About 5 tables had tidbits of ammo, including one seller with $70/brick Remington Subsonic. Another table had a few $50/brick Remington Golden Bullet. Saw a dozen boxes of very old 6.5X55 ammo including some milsurp and Norma for about $1/round. Saw a woman buy the thing that make a loud static electricity noise every 10 seconds. Could not find Large Rifle Primers.

I also went. One gun dealer told me he sold nothing. Another was packing up at 2PM and leaving. Not many black rifles, and one poor guy who came to the show was trying to get $900.00 for a Stag. No dealer wanted it, and the guy was saying he bought it for $1150.00. There's a lesson about panic buying. He was insulted when one dealer pointed to the table and said here's one and I paid $750.00.
