Absolutely! its game on right now as long as the weather cooperates! Has anyone else seen the deer hit on the road? I have seen a lot, which means they gettin spunky!
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

If gun control worked, Chicago would be like Mayberry, instead of Thunderdome.

It was beautiful out this morning, and if I had remembered to take my phone I would have some video of a nice 8 point that stayed at 60 yards which is farther than I am comfortable shooting with my bow.
I may need to pick up one of those arrow guns so that I can make a 60 yard shot with confidence during archery season.

Re: 2013 Archery report 2013
I saw 2 different buck this week. A nice buck on Tuesday and a smaller one on Thursday that were starting their "stoopid" phase.
The small 5pt on Thursday really made me chuckle. I was on a narrow trail back to my truck that was within sight. 100 yds away maybe. Thick brush on either side. I saw a 6" dia hole fresh dug on the trail and it was about 3" deep. Something I had not seen when walking in before first light.
It has a deer track in the freshly displaced dirt off to the side.
I just stopped and said out loud .. what the heck is that? That is when the 5pt stepped out 7yds away onto the trail just behind me from where I came. I was bent over looking at this hole that was dug as he stepped out. I stood straight up. He looked at me as I was moving. Cocked his head to the side. Looked straight ahead and then back at me again. Put his nose back to the ground and started walking on his course back into the brush again. Please feel free to visit a forum that I moderate:

Sat out in the stand this morning. Cold weather and wind. Lovely. I need to invest in a new seat tho. My back was getting sore from being against the tree. No deer seen today. Then sat in the blind in the afternoon. Again nothing.
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.
