Ruger Carbine
Hey folks I need some Ruger experts here to help me with a recent purchase. Picked up what they call a "Ruger Carbine" in 44 mag, its semi auto and tube fed. 5 digit serial number, making me think it is an oldie(74xxx no dash). It has a peep sight, which was one of the things that caught my eye.
Anyway...there seems like there are dozens of combinations/configurations of this (some with mags, regular sights, warning signs?) and each has a different degree of desirability..if you will..
Do you think the one I described is more or less desirable than the others...I will post pics later the rifle is at my dealer for transfer as I bought it at an auction.
Thanks!

Re: Ruger Carbine
With that serial number it was made in 1963. If it is in good condition it will be worth a bit as it is a early serial number. It is a highly prized carbine. If you need a manual for it go here:

Re: Ruger Carbine
