Default Suppressed SBR, one tax or two?

I have a GSG-5 on order, I'd like to make it into a SBR and add a suppressor. I'm afraid I already know the answer, that would require two tax payments, correct? Is there any way to only pay one $200 tax, such as a permanently attached suppressor?

a SBR with a removeable suppressor would require 2 taxes, one for the SBR, one for the suppressor.

If the suppressor was permanently attached (probably not a good idea on a gun thats fairly flimsy as the GSG5) then a tax would only be applicable on the suppressor.

its an extra $200, but personally, i'd want a detachable suppressor for use on other items

    Agreed! Buy a Walther P22 and you'll be a full-fledged .22LR Operator.

Hey now.......lay off the P22. Just because the pistol can barely hit the broad side of a barn.......while standing inside it.........when it is actually working........doesn't mean it is so bad. I don't know if you ever took a good look at it but it is aerodynamic. When it stops working it WILL hit what you throw it at!

Mine P22 works just fine as well. So does the first one I owned before my mother saw it and decided it should be hers.

Oh well it was easy to buy another.

my p22 likes to jam up after a mag or two. now it doesnt like to chamber when the can is installed, the slide gets hung up on the barrel adapter. can must be to heavy but anyway, wouldnt buy another p22.

    Hey now............

Mine has been funtioning fairly well so far. I did have a few FTFs the last time I took it to the range however with no striker marks on the cases. I noticed that the safety arm is starting to get some play also. From what I have read this is a problem others have also had with the pistol so I'm starting to worry I may have to pull it apart and see what's going on if it continues or gets worse.

As far as accuracy goes the best it can do with me is a 5" group from 15yds off of a table. Not very good in my book. All my other pistols (9mm, 40SW, 45ACP) can hold a 2" group standing at that distance.

It is an ok plinker for the money but I should have spent a few extra $s and got the Ruger MKIII and had the barrel threaded instead.
