    Default LTCF Renewal in Montco

Anybody renew in Montco with a permit issued by another county? Did they renew it on the spot, or did they try to make you wait (as if they were issuing new)?

You will be treated as a new applicant, including the bogus police check card, or the 45 day wait if you decline that BS.

Thanks. Looks like I will wait the 45 days. Check card is a racket...

No, it is applicable to new applicants only.

Since he moved to Montco from somewhere else, Montco (and no Sheriff that I'm aware of, for that matter) will care that he had his LTCF from elsewhere.

He is considered a new applicant.

Kind of strange the Sheriffs don't trust others sheriffs judgment on issuing LTCFs.

Agreed completely. Just going off my own experience when I moved out of Berks.

Ahh yes. New to Montco. I missed that. Then the Sheriff will want the local police check.

An applicant has a choice of methods for doing it. Get the card himself or let the Sheriff get it. Depending on where the applicant lives one method may be better than the other
Some police departments are uncooperative, like Lower Merion. Maybe let the Sheriff deal with them. Some are very cooperative, like Upper Merion.

Why is it so difficult down here...

I was in and out in 15 minutes in Cambria county. Any other curve balls down here?

That police check card is piece of crap. Took 4 days to obtain in Upper Dublin. Then visit to Norristown, where it takes usual 15-20 minutes.
    Je suis déplorable
