Also a good shooter. Many into the IDPA that use that weapon.

    Can't beat the deal.
By the way the dude that claims that the size of the round does not matter, it's the accuracy of the shot, well......my question to him would be just how accurate will he be when someone is pointing a weapon at him or shooting at him? Also, get shot in the arm with a .22, it hurts.... a .45 it dam near tears your arm off!! GET REAL DUDE! (:

How about a little more respect ah? Exactly how old are you? This is your second post and you come off like that?

my guess is that he is probably about a year older than he was when he made that post

I think both of you have a point... accuracy and caliber both count... you need to hit your target and you need to have the power to stop it. While caliber is possibly and only slightly less important (and that is my personal opinion), it still ranks up there. We all know the story of the Indian mother that was attacked by a very large Brown bear, while picking berries with her little 'papoose' on her back... she shot the bear right through the eye (lucky shot, but effective) with a .22 rimfire rifle... killed the Brown bear deader than 6oclock... I suppose accuracy (and luck) won out here but I think you get my point.

My personal opinion is that ... if I have to ever pull down on a threat, I want to be able to stop it with as few shots as possible... accuracy is certainly important and hitting it with as much power as I can handle is equally important, to me.

I'm not sure about the respect thing... this was only an opinion being posted, nothing more. I personally carry a PT145 Taurus (.45 compact) I have fired it many times and it has never given me the slightest problem... I also own many handguns and speak from experience. But gun choice is, as always, a personal choice.

I think, again, you both have a valid point.
