Default XDS Recall - How long did yours take?

I sent mine in the day after the recall was announced and have yet to see it back. Originally Springfield was telling people 2 - 3 weeks and I understand that has now changed to a solid 4 weeks.

If you own an XDS 45 or 9mm subject to the recall please consider sharing how long your repair took. I'll come back to update once I have mine back in hand. I'm also curious to see what was actually done to correct the problem.

Mine shipped 8/31. Springfield received it 9/3. No updates since.

My buddy's went in the day after it was announced and still no word. I feel for you guys. I was worried my Shield was going to have to go in and wasn't ready to give it up for any uncertain amount of time.

Haven't sent mine yet, been ready to send for a week but I've been hearing five and six weeks for repair to be done. Since mine still works as is, I'm considering opening it back up and waiting until SA gets caught up. This recall stuff is getting old, I got caught in the Ruger SR9 recall too!

I haven't sent mine in yet either. It's sitting in the safe and since it's getting colder I've been carrying my 1911.

Basically, unintended discharge or double fire. Probably happened to one person ever and they found a minor design flaw so now they have to recall 225,000 pistols between the 9mm and 45 ACP models.
