Something like three or four different outfits forge the upper and lower receivers and make other components for everybody including COLT. Suppose that it all depends upon how much extra money a COLT roll mark is worth to a person.

Back in the old days in the early 1970s all there was was COLT if a person wanted an AR15. We were buying COLT ARs for $219 each in lots of TEN rifles. An then came Bushmaster along with some other short run oddball maker rifles of dubious quality. Now, there are myriad good choices from which to select.
