Re: Stolen firearms check
Florida has one http://pas.fdle.state.fl.us/pas/pashome.a. I don't understand why PA doesn't have one. I found one on another forum that people were talking about. http://www.firearmsfax.com/firearmsfax/public/index. It's a shame the feds won't let the general public access the NCIC. LOUGOTZZ is lucky to have police friends. I called my local PD to check a Kimber. Said they would get back to me and never did. I ended up passing on it since I never heard from the police.

Re: Stolen firearms check
I stumbeld on this thread while doing some surfing, yea I know it is old.
One of you said if you have a cop friend have them run the weapon for you. Good idea. And then of course if you have had a weapon stolen like I have you may want to try this. https://www.stolenweapon.com/Stolen-Gun-index.html
I think the more you have it out there the better. You can also search a gun that you are thinking of buying from the shady guy down the street.
The site has been up for about two months now, but whoever did it has done a good job with it.
Now you can all go back to BS-ing amongst yourselves and I will go back to seattleguns.org where I belong.

Re: Stolen firearms check
Wrong. If you bought a gun and it was stolen Unbeknown to you and you have a receipt (hand written is ok) there is nothing anybody can do. Now in PA things may be different, I dont know, you all may have to go thru FFL all the time. In WA we dont. And a freindly call to any police dept and ask them to "run one for you" and they will. What you do with that info is up to you. I will try to make contact with the old owner and see if he wants it back. But I am under no obligation to do so
