Default Wait time for LTCF, is this normal.

Dropped of my completed application off with 2 local references and my proof of tax, took my picture paid the nice lady $6.00 and one month later to the day still have nothing. References got the cards in the mail 2 days later both returned that Saturday so I know I am good there. In the mean time I have purchased 2 pistols in PA got my C&R and purchased 2 more pistols under that and a long gun so I am pretty sure I am not flagged somewhere. I know the guy has 45 day's by law to grant it or provide a reason why he wont. Does he normally wait until the last day to give it out?

Friend of mine moved to Allentown area the same week I moved here never owned a firearm before in his life. He walked in and had his back within a few day's if not sooner then bought a Glock about 10 min later. Something stinks up here in Monroe county.

Yea, they don't follow the law in that there county. That's what. Like to make their own rules.

I put in on the 20th, maybe he is waiting for us to change our minds or something? I was going to call this Friday if I had nothing but If others are waiting who put in before me I will continue to be patient.

    Thanks

Put my paperwork in and it took a couple of weeks. Got card on Monday and picked it up yesterday. When I dropped it off, it took longer to fill out the paperwork to check my cellphone than in the Sheriff's office, so when I went to the court house yesterday, I left the phone in the car and was in and out. Maybe you should check to see if the notification didn't get lost in the mail or if there is some kind of problem.

    Thanks

If nothing by Friday I will call and see if there are any reasons for the delay or if it's just the normal administrative BS.

Just a heads up I said screw it and just called the office and asked, told her is been 31 days and no word. Took about 3 sec for her to check and tell me that it's been approved and I can come pick it up tomorrow. I bet they are just sitting there on a desk approved and they just have not gotten around to mailing the letter out.

They close at 4:30pm so give a call in the am.

Perfectly normal, mine took 37 days and would have been longer if I didn't call and ask, had been sitting there a few days because they were too lazy to mail it. I then drove down and picked it up. Won't hurt to call and ask. Let us know.

Oops...didn't see your second post...looks like you took my advice before I gave it lol...congrats

No it's not normal... in fact... what they required you to do is illegal
