NBC just loved to throw this in there.

The military officials said that the gunman may have been armed with an AR-15, a military-style assault rifle.

However, they failed to mention that they are ALREADY BANNED in DC as well as carrying any other gun.

A Fox News reporter, Jennifer Griffin who is on scene just said that the AR-15 is the civilian EQUIVALENT of the military M-16, and fires three round bursts. She said that is why police said they heard three shots in a row, because this rifle is like its military counterpart which also fires three round bursts.

Can you believe this crap? While Fox News is a bit better than other media outlets, some of their "reporters" are clueless progressives.

For those non military types or those whom only served on weekends, EVERY MILITARY base allows firearms on their installation. There are policy's and procedures to be followed but they are not prohibited or restricted from a base.

Christ, some of the best shooting ranges in our country are on bases.

Perhaps the shooter took his weapon onto the base because after work he was going shooting. Not an uncommon thing.

What is uncommon, is this occurred in our Nations capitol, one of the worst gun controlled communities in the US.
