Lightbulb Question about a beretta I bought

Okay bought my first beretta .
    Feel like I got a deal .
I was looking over at this ss pistol and something doesn't match ?
It doesn't say onix anywhere on the frame or on the slide but , shows all signs of being a onix .
    Its listed as a mod. 92FS 9mm ?
Odd thing is that it came with 10rd mags instead of 15-17rds
The rod is ss too ?

It also came with a extra pair of new sealed wood grips with the medallion !
Let me know whatcha people think .
    Here's a pic

I was looking over at this ss (Stainless Steel) pistol and something doesn't match ? Looks like a 92FS Inox to me.
It doesn't say Inox anywhere on the frame or on the slide but , shows all signs of being a Inox. Stainless Berettas are NOT marked "Inox," and the handgun in your photo is definitely an Inox.
Its listed as a mod. 92FS 9mm ? Yep, blued or stainless, regardless of finish Beretta put the same markings on 92 (and 96) handguns, WITHOUT reference to the finish.
Odd thing is that it came with 10rd mags instead of 15-17rds Either it was made during the 1994-2004 timeframe when 10 rd mags were supplied, or a former owner kept the hi-caps and swapped in two 10 rd mags when he parted with it.
The (guide) rod is ss (Stainless Steel) too ? This is typical of Stainless Steel / Inox Berettas.
It also came with a extra pair of new sealed wood grips with the medallion ! Those grips are a $40-$50 bonus.

FYI, "Inox" is an abbreviation for "Inoxidable," which is Spanish / Italian / French for "Stainless" and translates literally as "Corrosion-Resistant" or "Corrosion-Proof."

While these pistols will not have INOX on it anywhere, the slide should say "Stainless" somewhere. Mine has it on the muzzle, under the barrel. Inox is just Beretta's name for it stainless.

The slides are stainless steel but like all 92's the frame is anodized aluminum. It is just painted a different color on the stainless versions. (Yes I know there are some all steel 92's, but they are rare.)

The frame is aluminum and the slide is stainless. ...that is why there is a color difference. The receiver is coated with something, not sure what it is. But it is aluminum.

As others have mentioned - "Inox" is just a type of finish/metal. "Inox" is not a model or designation. It is no different from a Glock not having "Tenifer" stamped on their guns. Or my Norinco 1911A1 not having "parkerized" stamped on it either.

Your gun is a 92FS, that just happens to be "Inox" - which is the stainless version/finish/metal.
