    does anyone know if there is a problem with ruger's .17 b-mag?

    B-Mag is made by Savage for the new .17 Winchester Super Mag. Ruger, AFAIK, does not yet make a rifle chambered for that round.

    thanks for the correction. i've read many reviews about it. don't know why i called it a ruger. freudian slip maybe.

    Yes, they're hard to find and ammo is from a single source, hard to find, and it's the worst time since WW2 to find ammo so a bit of a stupid time to be dealing with proprietary calibers, particularly a rimfire one so you can't reload it.
