Munhall Borough Potential Pre-emption Violation
I received word, albeit short notice, Munhall Borough council is considering an ordinance restricting firearm possession within the Borough Building. I know this would be a violation of 18 PA.C.S. 6120, however, the police department, which is a secured location within the building, does have a detention facility, so I'm not sure whether 18 PA.C.S. 5122 applies. Nonetheless, a council workshop meeting is being held tonight at 6:30 pm. The regular council meeting is next Wednesday at 7 pm. Meetings are held on the second floor of the Borough Building located at 1900 West Street, Munhall. I'd attend, but I'm working.
