    Default Bushmaster Carbon 15?

I've never owned an AR, but have been thinking about buying one for a long time. I got a coupon from Dunham's offering the Bushmaster Carbon 15 for $679. A quick search on Gunbroker makes me think it's a pretty reasonable price. Opinions? Advice?

    TIA

No. Save another couple hundred bucks and get an aluminum lower AR/M4gery.

Google is your friend. Don't buy that gun.

This was just covered last week!

RUN like the wind Bullseye !

These seem to be popping up everywhere at discounted prices. Polymer lowers seem to be ok, but not the uppers.

Definitely stay away. I wouldnt buy that rifle for $500. To me that is a $300 AR. Get ANYTHING else and you will have something better for sure.

    I'd pay $100 as a parts gun.

...and realistically, of those parts, what would you use that can't be acquired elsewhere, that are better, for the same or a lesser price?

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhh!

    covered here:

    http://forum.pafoa.org/rifles-42/230...rth-money.html

but i must admit the word "carbon" wasn't in the thread title so i do not fault you.

BTW, run away from it...it is a POS and it will more than likely cause more problems than its worth.. there are several fine ARs sub 700 dollars i called them out in the other thread...

Yep. Poly upper. Not fair to compare it to the hi point really, the hi point is actually durable.
