    I had one, BRIEFLY, in the early 1990s. Most parts are not compatible with mil-spec. Handguard gets too hot to hold very quickly.

    Complete pieces of shit. At the same price point? S&W M&P Sport. Significantly better rifle for around $650-675.

    Well, if so much of it isn't mil spec, then it's not even worth a few bucks for a parts gun.

    Interesting that the handguard heats up. I bet that an aluminum receiver acts as a heat sink, drawing some of the barrel heat away, but the plastic receiver acts as an insulator. Just one more reason to avoid it like the plague.
