First time shooting 1911's today
So I traded for a 1911 about 3 months ago and I haven't had a chance to shoot it till today. I also picked up a second 1911 a few days ago. I must say I'm extremely satisfied with my choices. After I'm comfortable with the platform I'm going to start carrying one over my polymer guns. My shots had better placement and my groups were tighter.
Disregard the keltec... I had to take it to the range to put a few rounds through it since my xds is being fixed due to the recall.

Watch out. They multiply like rabbits.
Everyone should have an AK-47

Re: First time shooting 1911's today
Contests on your purchase. I hope it works well for you. Went to Heritage Guild w/hubby yesterday. He rented a Kimber 1911 configured for 9mm. I'd never shot one so I tried it twice. Not at all for me. Too much bang & recoil strained my wrists a little bit. I left my Ruger Mark III there at the shop to get the sights adjusted. That's the reason for the rental. Hey you dont know till you try, right? Anyway, good luck & enjoy yours.
