I do not recommend that rifle. I remember when they were selling for $699 and I thought to myself ' I wouldn't pay $50 for this thing'.

"Carbon" is a fancy name for reinforced plastic. The upper and lower receivers (the frame of the gun) are plastic. That might be OK for a plinker, but not for a personal defense weapon. And free optics are usually worth what you pay for them. I'd pass.

    I owned one...for a month...before I traded it in for a real AR-15. Definite pass.

Don't you hate it when other members crush your dreams You think you've found a deal and BAM! I know just about zero about AR's, but if several members here would recommend against one, I wouldn't buy it. I've found that most opinions here are well worth considering.

Never bought from Bud's personally, but they seem to do well from what I've read.

Junk rifle IMO. For the same price you could buy a PSA M4 which has a forged alum upper and lower.

After the second trip to the range the pic below was found. The guy was a newb and the poor bastard paid $1k for the pile during the last panic.

There are better 700.00 AR's out there. Do some reading. I've spent the last month or so reading up on the AR 15. I know just enough to know I don't know all that much.
Here's a thought. Look at one of the high end rifles. Look at the specs and compare with what you are willing to spend. You can find a nice rifle for less. You aren't going to war, but you'll want something better than the carbon BM.

As for Bud's, I know they sell tons of guns. I was thinking of buying a gun there, but discovered the ''free shipping'' didn't included insuring the gun, that was going to be extra. Maybe not a big deal to some, it is to me! I don't like a lot of there policies.
I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning.[

I got to see my buddy's that he bought. Was kind of courious as to see if it was something I would of bought. My answer is that me personally I would not buy one. Was not impressed at all. Stick with something else. I decided to go with 2 stripped aero precision receivers and CMMG lower parts kits. Now tring to decide on upper.

Don't do it...Save up another $200.00 and get something made from aluminum.
