    Default Moving to Berks

Ok I am moving to Berks county, I found a house in the Wyomissing area. I would like to find out about the local ranges near there. I like to get back in to IPSC and Steel shooting and some IDPA matches.

There's a real huge one just East of you. Public range, no membership, plenty of reactive targets,no rapid fire limits (in fact mag dumps near schools are encouraged) .

    It's called Reading.

LOL. He was being sarcastic, man. Reading is a pretty high-crime city. Anyway . . . . look at the sticky at the top of the Berks forums called "ranges near us". That'll get you started. Welcome to the area.

Yeah the BEST shooting range is on MY block.

Seriously though, check out the Muhlenberg Area Shooting Association and the Mohnton Fish and Game Association. I belong to both.

As for IPSC shooting, you may want to check out the Topton Fish & Game Association in Mertztown. Here's the link:

No problem, What is the decent place to buy firearms in that area?

I deal almost exclusively with Richland Shooter's Supply in Richland, PA (Lebanon county). It's about a 30-40 minute drive. But their prices are really, really good and they're really friendly people.

    Their number is 717-866-4246
