    Default Bright Blue Eyes

Anyone know why when you shoot a deer it has bright blue eyes, then they go black. Someone asked me and I don't know.

Its called luminis (SP), it is the reflective coating at the back of the eye. you can actually tell time of death by measuring it.

Don't listen to him, it's really the deer's soul, and it's an indicator when it's soul has left it's body.

Don't shoot till you see the blue of their eyes!

This is close, it's called "Tapetum Lucidum". I wasn't sure what the heck the OP meant until you mentioned this. Although I must say the only time I ever see the "blue eyes" are when I look at them under a spotlight. I can't say that I see it when I shoot them just standing around during the morning or afternoon.

Damn dude! Whoever noticed that got REALLY lucky!

That deer just got infected by RAGE and started to turn at exactly the same moment that it was killed.

Tapetum lucidum, hmmmph! Buncha college boys. They'll probably try telling us that groundhogs can climb trees, too!
