Default Kid-friendly self defense (Lansdale area)

I have two young-uns (boy 12 and girl 16) that I want to enroll in a self defense course, and I am hoping that some of you will share good or bad experiences in the Lansdale area.

They both are shooters, but what I am looking for is unarmed (martial arts or similar) courses. I don't have a particular art in mind, though I wouldn't want too much focus on using a staff, for example, as one may not be available at a given time. Hand to hand would be best, disarming an attacker, etc.

    Any input is welcome

I'd highly recommend a Jiujitsu school (preferably Brazilian/Gracie). I'm not familiar with that area or the schools, but a quick Google search came up with at least 4 Jiujitsu schools in your area.
