I’d love to hunt some! I’m searching for a place to go in the next month or so.

I just made a reservation to hunt hog in PA for August (my 60th birthday).

I'll let you know how I liked it after the fact.

Will be on the ground using a boar spear.

I'm trying the Tioga Ranch. No idea what it will be like.

Did the price comparisons versus a trip down to Texas. I'll try Tioga since it is close, and much less expensive than going to TX and back.

If I like it I will try a lonestar trip next year for a free range hog hunt.

I just checked out their site and the pictures show some impressive looking true boars unlike some of the others I’ve seen in PA that are just farm pigs released into a small area a few days before you get there.

Have fun and make sure to update us.

Just got back from my hunt, 60th birthday present to myself.

250 lb sow. Put a .308 throught the neck and shoulder, knocked it clear off its feet, did the leg spasm thing. The thing tried to get up 10 min later! Had to put another one in it. Real Russian sow, not a pig from farmer Johnson's. Had it processed after cold storage for a night to firm up the meat. Guides were excellent. The lodge was decent, the included food was very good, rooms were clean. Went for the camo painted skull for a trophy.

The guy I was hunting with had to put three well placed 45-70 in his to put it down.

I can't imagine what a 400-500 lb boar could take.

Overall a very positive experience. I give them two thumbs up.

So, total price? Ballpark is fine, we don’t sweat the pennies.
