    Default The Firing Line

I shot here on Friday, seemed like a decent place. I've only shot indoor once before so I dont have much to compare it to. If anyone needs any onfo let me know.

Are there any other indoor ranges close by in Lehigh/Nhampton county?? DefCon-1 may be out as their web & phone message says they're gov't & agency only.

Don't forget Hellertown Sportsman's Club- it's home to the Lehigh Valley Police Revolver League (which has nothing to do with police or revolvers, per se- they keep the name for historical reasons, as they're the oldest continuing league in PA, possibly in the US.)
They have a nice 25-yd. range with turning targets- they do Bullseye and IPSIC, and other forms as well....

DEFCon - 1 is out of the retail and firing range business. Their conex shooting range (frangible bullets only) is waiting for someone to come along and grab for free, far as I know. Contact Dan, the owner.

Hex, I work with Dan, the owner- he currently has the desire to unload the range. It needs some welding repairs, and is limited to frangible bullets only. He told me before he went on vacation that he advertised it recently for free- you come and pick up. He's overseas right now, but will be back after the 4th.

I am kinda hooked on the idea, I would like to learn what is involved. I figure there would be quite a bit of liability involved in running a firearms range & one would need to have ample insurance to cover.

He is usually there on weekends. If you go during the week there is another (short) guy that likes to scream at people.
I know that that place has a few idiots who go there cause they rent guns, but if someone is really trying to start shooting, and you are serious about it, not a one time thing, go when the (short) guy IS NOT THERE.
If someone isn't acting right thats another thing. Dont scream at them; just ask them to leave. On the other hand it is a real show to see someone get abused by him (the short guy).
I am actually suprised that they do not fire him because he has to cause alot of people not to return.
So maybe you got screamed at?
