Quality or quantity?
Would you rather have a dozen guns that are totally stock or a few that are heavily upgraded and accessorized? This time last year I had 8 guns and now I have 3. Long story short, my X and I moved in together and within a month I had to sell a bunch of guns to get the money to move out. I think sometimes that I miss having a bunch of guns (I specifically miss my 590A1 sooooooo much) but with fewer weapons, I have more of an opportunity to give them more attention. I don't have to leave anything behind when I go shooting at least. So which do you prefer; quantity or quality?

Re: Quality or quantity?
I peaked at 21 firearms after OBC. While none were junk, they were not all so "special" at the time. Although, I regret not holding on to the PSL a little longer, but oh well.
I don't have an exact count now, not because I'm swimming in them, but I've sold some with intent to sell more, bought lowers (which I have all the parts just not the motivation), and I plan to buy more.
I would say quality is better than quantity. Buy once cry once. If you can afford to buy a large quantity of quality firearms, you're either doing something right, or you're very hungry.

Re: Quality or quantity?
MOAR GUNZ PLZ!
Since I don't have a need/desire to "accessorize", I'll take a little of this, and one of that, and Ooooh, gimme two of THOSE...
I've only sold three guns when strapped for cash. I no longer have them and the money gained at the time was like pissing in the ocean to raise the water level. I should have struggled, or borrowed instead of selling, as the small amount of money gained was pointless in the grand scheme of things.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Quality or quantity?
I don't equate the number of mods with high quality. So many mods are lipstick on a pig. For example, I generally don't do trigger jobs; I buy guns that already have stock triggers that I like (with the exception of my M&P's). And I think Cerakote is a waste of money and paint on a gun is an abomination.
Also, mods can kill the desirability and resale value. Nobody wants to pay top dollar for an AR or a 1911 with 15 mods. Just like the kids 10 years ago that were dumping $5 grand into their slammed Civics with body kits & NASA spoilers - they wound up with cars that only they could love.

Re: Quality or quantity?
I have only been seriously interested in guns beyond hunting for about 5 years. Where I have owned many rifles / shotguns over the years my first real handgun purchase was 5 years ago (I did own a couple black powder revolvers before that). I would have to say I am now in the quantity over quality camp. This is primarily because I am still finding "my caliber" and "my gun type". I would imagine at some point I will migrate from my current mix of calibers and manufacturers to fewer guns of higher quality chambered for rounds I like to shoot.
