Lock boxes
Anybody out there have any suggestions for an under the rear truck seat lock box? Need one for those times I just can't take it into a building, but need something more substantial than the glove or console.

Re: Lock boxes
You could use a basic $25 pistol vault. Loop the cable around the seat frame.

Re: Lock boxes
Depending in the size of your pistol, I bought one for $17 from Target. It fits my XDs and 1 mag sans holster. If you take the plastic liner out it will fit an SR9C w/ the 10 rd mag and a spare 10rd, sans holster.
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.

Take the time and watch this video from DefCon and decide if some cheap piece of china junk is good enough to keep your firearm in.
If the f bomb bothers you skip the video and head over to Walmart and buy a cheap box.Corruption is the default behavior of government officials. JPC

Re: Lock boxes
No time to watch a 40 min video, but the answer is yes, a cheap piece of junk is good enough to keep my gun in. If I could fit a Fort Knox safe in a hatchback, I would. The purpose of the lockbox is to stop the gun from being taken in a casual smash-and-grab, nothing more. It's a better alternative than the glove compartment.

Re: Lock boxes
I use the $25 one pictured. You can use the cable or take the time to bolt it down. I use the cable, tuck it between my truck seat and you don't know it's there. To get my gun you'll have to gain entry to my locked vehicle and cut the cable with bolt cutters. Then take it to your lair and pick the lock or drill the lock.
I've thought of bolting it down but I'd have to disarm outside the vehicle or awkwardly inside the vehicle. I like it.
