Does it bother you when ...
You go to a gun shop, ask to see a gun and they hand it to you in such a way that you can't operate it, test the action, trigger, etc? I was in a store this week, asked to see this GORGEOUS 11-87 with a wooden stock and handguard and the guy took the charging handle out before handing it to me. I just looked at it him and told him nevermind. How do you think I'm going to react? I was at another shop a while back and the guy handed me an $850 revolver and wouldn't take the trigger lock off. He clearly didn't want to sell that gun. It's like a car salesman hitting the lock button on a car that I want to test drive as I walk towards it.

No, it wouldn't bother me. I'd just do what you did, walk out. I asked to see a Beretta shotgun at Dick's once. The guy wouldn't take the trigger lock of it. Evidently it's store policy. Evidently they aren't serious about selling firearms. I just walked out. I didn't blame the counter guy, but I've never been in a Dick's since.

Dunham's does the same thing with the trigger lock. Real gunships let me run the action and even dry fire. I always ask first

A guy I work with had something similar happen at Bass Pro. I forget exactly what rifle he was looking at, but when he asked the clerk if he would remove the trigger lock so he could test the trigger pull, the clerk (without saying a word) took the gun out of his hand, placed it back on the rack, and walked away. WTF!
He took his $$ elsewhere.Soap Box - Worn out : Ballot Box - Broken : Jury Box - Pending : Ammunition Box - Unknown
