Auto Ordnance 1911 A1 PKZ
So I decided to take a chance on this pistol because I wanted an authentic looking WWII replica for a reasonable price. It feels real good in my hand and I shot a pretty good group (for me) although the combat sights were a little tough for my 49 YO eyes. Only 1 ftf out of 100 rounds of ball ammo. Not bad for a brand new 1911. The only thing I really don't like about it is the trigger. It's hard, gritty and doesn't break clean at all. What can I do to fix this? Can I just upgrade the trigger or do I need to also replace the mainspring? It's important to me to keep the look authentic. Any advice very much appreciated!

Clean the trigger assembly?
At least that would be my 1st thought.“When a man cannot chose, he ceases to be a man.”

You can have trigger work done. It won't affect the external appearance.
