Re: 'Hey Dad, come see the kittens...'
Yikes! What happened to mamma skunk? How old do they have to be before they can spray? Years ago, I was working on one of my cars at night at my grandmothers place and her dog got into it with a skunk. I didn't what her dog was barking at. Finally, I see a skunk dart out from under her car and right towards me. Wasn't really scared of the skunk, but then I saw the cloud blowing in the wind towards me. It seemed like a solid mass in the driveway lights. Never ran so fast in my life.

I saw a couple drunk guys at a bonfire (not me!) trying to catch a skunk! They spotted it and thought it was a cat. They were stumbling around calling, "Here kitty, kitty!" I don't know how they didn't get sprayed, but they didn't! LOL

Re: 'Hey Dad, come see the kittens...'
I was camping one weekend with a girlfriend in High School at Black Moshannon state park, and a skunk wandered up to the campsite as we were sitting in some lawn chairs talking. He actually scampered under my chair and walked across one of my feet. Eventually he went on his merry way.
It was pretty funny, we were there with my gf's grandparents and her grandmother was on top of a picnic table threatening to throw a microwaved (we had a camper) taquito roll at it. I had to very calmly convey that if she were to chuck the roll.. we'd all probably be puking in the next 30 seconds...

Re: 'Hey Dad, come see the kittens...'
A few years ago when I still ran thru town early in the mornings, a few times I came up on skunks in the shadows of the street lights, and believe me, I did some fancy stepping. The first time it happened I must have jumped five feet to the side and had chest pains like a heart attack! Fortunately I never got sprayed or ever saw one of them spray even after our encounter. In fact, they seemed pretty unpreturbed about it.

I have a litter coming with in the next week. Mom and Dad both white with green eyes.
The proud parents, dad is the long hair and mom is the short hair.
Here are some pictures of the relatives out back.
