Both my Colt's have tilt up barrels. They just use links rather than cam/block systems.

My P7M8 uses a retarded blow back action. I believe I would require a longer barrel if I wished to put a suppressor on it. Not a simple task for that pistol.

you might consider a copy of "the poor mans james bond." belive it or not, it gives a really good overview or all sorts of levels of gunsmithing, and is great if you have little or no skill in that area. but stay away from internet copys of the anarchists cookbook, its full of bullshit
