What country is the most gun-friendly?

I know that our government has laid out a lot of gun control laws that most of us find a bit overboard, to say the least. However, we do still have our 2nd Amendment rights, sort of. And, we all know there are a lot of nations where guns are basically completely banned from normal citizens.

Here's the question I have. Are there any countries MORE gun friendly than America? Just wondering. Thought it might make a fun conversation!

Somalia, I'd think.

Everyone seems to have a gun or rifle of some sort at home in Iraq, too.

But there just isn't another country where law and order prevails that is as gun-friendly as ours.

I'm guessing that's because the founders of this country were the only founders of any civilized country smart enough to put those rights down on paper

This country could be as gun friendly as england... just vote for obama... lol... what law abiding citizen needs handguns or semi autos anyway? oh yeah the ones that defend ourselves from criminals... oh well... i wonder if obama will save me from that bad guy that wants my car so bad that he'd try to carjack me.

I don't know about those. I think gun ownership in both of those countries is closely tied to service/training in the military reserves.

Surprisingly, New Zealand appears to be somewhat reasonable on guns (not as good as here, but far better than say, England.)

But, again, I don't think that any country in the civilized word protects the right to own a firearm as extensively as the U.S.

I think Israel's gun laws are quite strict, and restrictive. I found this on another site. Not sure if it is correct or not.

The highlights:
1) must be 21.
2) must live in Israel for 3 consecuetive years.
3) Personal use only
4) a. Part-time reservist (volunteer) for 3 years- may own 1 handgun
b. Such a reservist (volunteer) is a member of a gun club- may own 1rifle
c. Professional, licensed public transportation driver, transportinga minimum of 5 passengers- may own 1 handgun
d. Licensed animal control officer- may own 2 hunting rifles, *not*full automatic weapons, or semi-automatic weapons with a limitedcapacity magazine.
e. Full-time dealer of jewelry or large sums of cash or valuables-may own 1 handgun

The "only one handgun allowed," and "only one rifle allowed" seems quite restrictive.
