Default Need some help from competent machinist/welder

I'm in the process of building an AR15 that's going to be a little out of the ordinary. However, since what I'm planning is not exactly "off the shelf" I need the help of someone, preferably someone within 1.5 hour driving radius of the Philadelphia area, who has the skills of a machinist/welder. It's small thing, basically I have a small part with a hole of approximately 0.06-0.08" in diameter that I need filled/welded closed. The part is stainless steel (not sure the grade/type) and I believe it is heat treated (not sure if that matters). Any ideas out there?

Just off the top of my head for an easy/cheap solution for you. Do you know of any reason you couldn't tap the hole and get an off-the-shelf stainless set-screw and use threadlocker on it?

Loctite 263 should keep that nice and secure:

This way you won't mess up any heat treating.

I'll take pictures tonight of what I'm talking about, I imagine it's an easy task but then again I have no idea re: welding.
