they are 115 or so if you buy one but come out to 91 if you buy the 8 pack. anyone in sw pa or the wheeling area interested?
if there is a lot of interest maybe we could spearhead multiple regional purchases.
also if anyone has a better suggestion i would be interestedMontani Semper Liberi

Re: bpa free 55 gallon drums
I don't think you need to buy new BPA free drums. There are plenty to buy on craigslist which are practically brand new and sell for 15-20 bucks. I have purchased several of these drums for drinking water and storage. They are just as good as new ones for a fraction of the cost.

Re: bpa free 55 gallon drums
They have lids that will make an airtight seal. They are painted so it will be added rust prevention but I would think they would at some point.
I also have plastic ones available but they are fixed lids."No, I am not a great shot, but I shoot often" - Teddy Roosevelt

Re: bpa free 55 gallon drums
Check your area for a company that supplies the antiseptic to the dairy farms for cleaning the cow teats. The drums that stuff comes in is food grade, and the stuff inside is food safe and easily cleaned. I picked up a bunch from a company that's local down here for $20/barrel, but he's since raised his price.
Becareful of what you'd get off of CL unless you can be 100% sure they didn't have something nasty inside of them at one point. Especially if your plan is to store potable water in them. If you do get some and you need new caps, you can get those from Baytec Container.Rules are written in the stone,
