    Default RIA .45

I've had this short barreled Rock Island Armory .45 for awhile now. I bought it after I bought my GI RIA .45 some years ago for about $300.00. I know they are not top of the line .45's, but they are sturdily built and I have had absolutely no problems with them whatsoever with about 300 rounds through each of them.

They can say want they want about the RIA's, I have two and they eat everything I feed them, never a problem. Won them both at gun bashes

I have a government model I picked up last year on Father's day. It has been my daily carry since I got a holster for it. The only unfortunate thing is I still haven't broken it in yet.

People always seem to pu-pu the RIA's but I've found them to be good solid handguns. I've owned several over the years and none have given me any problems. Sold several to friends that just had to have them and they paid me very well.

Here's my government model RIA after a few mods. This is the first one I ever bought (in 2007) and after getting another one the next year decided to upgrade this one:

HA! You stole my pistol! Lol. Pachmyers and all. I've had mine for about 10 years. It was the second pistol I purchased, and boy, did I wear on it. Mine is not particularly reliable compared to higher end handguns, but it was well worth the $400 new price.
