Not old school in the REAL sense, but it's my DA Ruger 357 that I carry.

Anyone packing a revolver is doing it old school. Very nice Ruger!

Three inch S&W model 10. A former Victoria Australia police gun. Not may 3" model 10's were sold to the public for some reason.

Really like the look of the 3 inch K frames. IMO, a 3 inch K frame loaded with 6 rounds of the 158 gr. FBI load is about all one would Realistically need to handle just about any armed citizen defensive encounter.

Very interesting revolver, I don't think I've seen one like that before.

    Here's a picture of a pre victory model S&W.

The pre victory model still had the checkered grips versus the smooth grips seen on the victory models starting in early 1942. The Victory models came into being as the serial numbers approached 1,000,000 in 1942. S&W lacked the equipment to add a 7th digit so instead added the V prefix. Most of the Victory models were chambered in .38 S&W for the British. Some were made for in .38 Special and saw use with the US Navy, Merchant Marine and Coast Guard. Other .38 Specials were issued to the Defense Supply Corporation who in turn issued the guns to guards at defense plants as well as other law enforcement in support of the war effort. My pre Victory probably fell under this category.
