ammo vintage, collectable legal
recently we came into fair amt. of ammo some of it I have never heard of and in trying to find out about them most they do not even make anymore like accelerators, nyclad, nylontip, black talons, quite a few are pre 1967 as they have no warning labels plus stuff like 357 win maximum, peters .45 police match I mean almost every box I try to look up is vintage, ammo is good to very good as they were kept in ammo boxes, no one can give me any answers so here I am asking

+3...
I "Think" he is wondering if the types he listed are legal to own because they have scary names like accelerator and black talon.
Yes they are legal to own.
Do you want to keep them is the question.
Best thing I can tell you is register here: http://cartridgecollectors.org/?page=forum
If you can post pictures, they will tell you what you have.
If not you could always cart if off to one of the bigger gun shows like Oaks or Harrisburg next time. There are always collectors there who may buy your stuff. I sold some old Lebel ammo I got at a garage sale and some 1930's vintage .30-.30 in well preserved boxes.
I had no use for them myself, but the cartridge collectors love that stuff, especially if it is in the original boxes.

some of this stuff would be considered "armour piercing" (correctly or incorrectly), which is in some cases regulated if it is pistol ammo. in general, that does not prohibit private party secondary sale, in most states. read the linked article for more info about teflon ammo and the few states that do control it.

solid cored bullets as described below are regulated by federal law and may not be manufactured for sale, but there is no prohibition on possession or sale of existing stock, ex post facto.
18 U.S.C., § 921(a)(17)(B)
A projectile or projectile core which may be used in a handgun and which is constructed entirely (excluding the presence of traces of other substances) from one or a combination of tungsten alloys, steel, iron, brass, bronze, beryllium copper, or depleted uranium; or
A full jacketed projectile larger than .22 caliber designed and intended for use in a handgun and whose jacket has a weight of more than 25 percent of the total weight of the projectile.
