    Default The Detonics Experience

I love 1911's, but I'm not such a purist that I have an aversion to improvements. As the title says, I'm curious of peoples experience , concerning the new Detonics MTX. I'm sure there are those that would argue the MTX is neither a 1911, nor an evolution of same, but a wholly new pistol. Between the modular design , the aircraft aluminum construction, the lack of a grip safety and the double stack magazine, maybe it is more revolution than evolution. My question is whether any member here owns or has had experience with one, and what your thoughts are.

    Say say 1911 "patterned".
    That aside. I like it.

Detonics, Wow, haven't heard that name for a bit. Always liked them. Couldn't afford them at the time. This one looks very interesting!

I wonder how much they're giving Stevie Wonder for designing the looks.
