Re: springfield armry
I have the XDs in 9mm. Love it! It's accurate. Recoil is more than manageable. Carry it regularly IWB at the 5 o'clock and it's very comfortable, even sitting.
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.

Re: springfield armry
I own an XD9. Have had it since '06. It has always performed well at the range, though I have never carried it. My wife did back when she would actually carry. Small and light, as is desired. It is a good little gun, though I always felt that the trigger had a little too much creep (as compared to my Glock 23 that I carried for many years.)
That said, I recently decided to buy and XDs in .45 because I was happy with the prior experience with the XD line.Last edited by iamtommyboy; August 12th, 2013 at 09:34 AM.

Re: springfield armry
My neighbor has a 3.8 xdm 9 and loves it. I have shot it a few times and have nothing bad to say about it.
I have heard nothing but good reviews of the xds, but I haven't had the chance to shoot one yet.

Re: springfield armry
I had the xd subcompact .40.
Loved the gun. Always shot very well for me and very accurate for a subcompact.
Carried it every day.
Only sold it recently, because I was a little short with money to put towards purchasing an AR-15. Since I also own a xd45, I decided to let the subcompact go... for now. But have every intention to buy another one soon or the slim XDs. I love the XD's from Springfield.
Personally, I've shot similiar Glocks, M&P's, Ruger SR9's, along with my XD's.
They all shot well to me. I like them all, to tell you the truth.
To me, it's personal preference. Don't think you could go wrong with any of them. I am a little partial to my XD's though.
But, plan on purchasing others mentioned above as well.
Glock 10mm... A friend of mine will be picking up one of these soon.
Can't wait to shoot it!
One of those might be my next purchase, maybe before my subcompact xd."You Gotta Kill it!...To Grill it!"..."Whack 'em an Stack 'em!"

Re: springfield armry
I bought my Springfield xd9 subcompact the day after I turned 21, searched for months before I could own a handgun, and Bought mine for the right price with 4 mags, 1 regular and 3 extended mags, Its my daily carry firearm now with 0 malfunctions with a pretty good round count. I carry mine in a crossbreed supertuck. Its pretty accurate for its size and easily concealable. If you have any more questions about it send me a PM
