    Default Taurus PT1911

I finally took some pictures of the PT1911. I replaced the plastic grips with Hogue rubber grips. I also replaced the grip screws with some SS torx screws. The holster is a Bianchi Model 100 IWB holster. I'm using the CMC 8rd SS mags with base plates.

Nice. Do you always wear ITW? Where did you get the grips? I'm thinking that a mod I will do.

I like to carry IWB in the summertime and OWB for the winter. IMO, IWB doesn't print as much, so in the summertime that is an important factor for me. In the winter time, I can wear a sweatshirt or a jacket to hide my pistol.

As far as the grips go, I bought mine through Midway. Hogue offers a double diamond pattern and the one I have has a palm rest. The set I bought are wider than the double diamond pattern. I have smaller hands and the one with the palm rest fits my hands fine. If you have an ambi safety, be prepared to trim some of the rubber on the right grip.
