Counties issuing non resident permits?
I've some relatives that will be visiting Carbon County in the near future. Would anyone know if Carbon County, or any surrounding county, is issuing non resident PA CC permits at this time? If possible I'd like for them to apply while there. Thanks...

Re: Counties issuing non resident permits?
Some sheriffs who used to issue to NR, do not anymore
Best thing is to call the sheriffs and ask them.

Remember, those applying from another state must have an similar license to carry from their home state.

Re: Counties issuing non resident permits?
Thanks... Figured I'd ask before I started calling each individual surrounding county. Used to be easy for us... Visit Pike County, say hello to Sheriff Bueki (nice guy) and that was that.

Re: Counties issuing non resident permits?
I think he stopped a few months ago. One reason was that people from out of state applying were failing the background check and shouldn't have had a permit issued in their home state to begin with. So he suspended non resident applications to save time for the people that live in Pike.

Re: Counties issuing non resident permits?
So is there any other Sheriff's that will issue NR permits? We have a house in the Albrightsville. Called the Carbon County Sheriff's and was told no NR permits.

Re: Counties issuing non resident permits?
There are sheriifs that issue, but not so sure in the Pocono's.
Personally I would apply to a county that issues on the spot, and if they give you crap about being a non res. then contact a lawyer.
They have to process your application if you have a suitable permit from your home state. They cannot pick or choose.FUCK BIDEN

Re: Counties issuing non resident permits?
I've had my resident state (CT) permit for some time now. Is there a listing (i will search forums) of the "on the spot" permit processing counties? Thanks in advance.

Re: Counties issuing non resident permits?
Don't know how convenient this location us to you, but I have heard recently that the Bucks County Sheriff's Office will issue NR licenses, in about 30 minutes?
I'm not verifying, this is just what I've heard across the forums. While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: Counties issuing non resident permits?
Lycoming County Sheriff, Mark Lusk, issues them. Or, at least he did over the summer. It took about ten minutes to make the card. The friend that I took over almost fainted. He could not fathom the fact that he walked away with it. It took over six months to get his NY Permit to Carry (not to be confused with the permit required to own). My Friend is contemplating relocating to PA.
Be safe (and get it quick, fast and in a hurry).

Thank you. At least county sheriff's office list NR permit on the website.
