Default Need Info Conversion 45 to 22

I have a S&W 1911sc in 4.25" barrel, what are my chances of finding a conversion?

    Thanks for the help.

You mean in finding one in stock? Or a conversion being available for your model gun?

I have never owned any of these. but I've shot an Advantage Arms on a glock. Very ammo picky, but with the right 22lr ammo worked great.. Normally the CCI stuff worked best.

Looks like Advantage Arms has a 1911 22 conversion kit..

I have a threaded marvel kit for a gov size 1911 and it has worked great with HV, Standard, and sub's. CB wouldn't cycle the slide but worked otherwise and were wicked quiet while suppressed!

I have a SIG P220 in .45 caliber. I bought their .22LR conversion kit to save money in ammo. Change out the slide, change the magazine and shoot away.

I had put a new recoil spring in some months earlier. I found that regular .22LR ammo did not work well. Maybe it would have with the older spring. .22LR high velocity works great though. The CCI mini-mag ammo worked really great.

I can practice and shoot a lot now for a lot less money and still have the full size P220 in my hand. Worth the money long term with the cost of .45 ammo these days.

thanks vet man, your conversion was direct through sig right?

My ammo source hasn't been getting mini mag, just the standard velocity CCI

Yes, I bought the SIG conversion kit directly from them ONLY because I had registered the warranty on a new pistol earlier this year and had a 20% discount coupon. Still took about a month to get it from them. The kit is normally cheaper on places like Gunbroker.com than from SIG. You should be able to use any .22LR that says High Velocity on the box.
