Default 2A Friendly Merchants in Wayne?

My wife and I are now very close to moving to Wayne County and leaving the Free and Independent Socialist Republic of New Jersey. As with any move to a new area, we will have to find contractors for certain work, a lawyer for wills and such, dentists, MDs, car dealers, hardware stores, restaurants, lawn & garden centers, etc. Is there a directory or a publication where pro-2A merchants in the Wayne area advertise so that I can find possible people to do business with? Competence and value for the money always has to be the prime consideration, but if someone passes that test and supports the right to keep and bear arms, that is where I would prefer to spend my money. Oh yeah, any shooting ranges or gun clubs near Hamlin?

Congratulations on making your escape. You will find people to be much more gun friendly in Pennsylvania than in New Jersey. Guns are just more excepted in PA. Heberlings Sport shop has an indoor range. It's like only 100 bucks for an unlimited membership there. They are in Pompton off of route six. You will love Pennsylvania.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Stonesriver1862 and his wife. Great people that will be an asset to PA. They have made several trips from NJ to pro 2A events in Harrisburg and elsewhere. Hopefully more folks will chime in with suggestions/opinions on Wayne County.

Thanks CliffB. For any of you out there in NY or NJ looking to move to PA, if you get an opinion on things from CliffB, you can rely on it. He was very helpful in guiding us to a good Realtor and giving us information on what to expect and what to look for. Took a lot of guesswork out of the process.

CliffB is correct, my wife and I take our 2A rights seriously and that is why I'd prefer to deal with merchants and vendors who have the same interest. We are mere foot soldiers in the fight here in NJ and pro 2A citizens here have thus far managed to slow down the panic rush to infringe on civil rights that NY and CT could not resist. Whether Christie has the stones to veto what did get through remains to be seen. One surprising thing I learned from attending legislative hearings in NJ is that the Democrats in NJ are not content to infringe on the rights of NJ citizens. Clearly, they and their anti-gun supporters see PA as the source of their problems. Yep, you all are the evil gunrunners ruining the peace and tranquility of Camden, Newark and the rest of the Garden State as they see things. Not content to take our firearms, they are plotting to take yours. I think of Bloomberg and his secret police trying to run sting operations in VA. The NJ Dems will stop at nothing (evidenced by their deceitful abuse of the legislative process) and will use any means at their disposal to push Federal laws to control PA or, perhaps, even to try Bloomberg style tactics. Do not think for a moment that the threat to your gun rights is only coming from anti-gunners in PA.

More on that later. But I do look forward to joining the fight on the west side of the Delaware.

I am still trying to get the lay of the land and figure out where any one village begins and ends. Lake Ariel is the Post Office address but we are closer to Ledgedale than to Lake Ariel.

Welcome. I have a summer place in Greentown. Right up 507 from you. I hear Wallenpaupack sports in Hawley is a good Gun Shop, and other fishing, archery, etc... I OC in The market at Dutch's and never heard boo about it, other than a few eyes from the Nyawkers.

Stonesriver one day we'll meet up at Backdrafts for a few beers and pizza. I lived in Bricktown for 36 years and I'm glad I left. All business in our area gun friendly.

Good luck with that one, every newbie to Pa. asks the same question. I found the Hide Sportsman club but it was to regimented for me, I'm a layed back kind of person. Being retired and I can shoot on my property and a few others I don't need no stinking club. I do use Sgl ranges when my neighbor and myself feel likehaving a burger and beer on the way home. Hey welcome to the club.
