    Default KAHR PM9-WINRA9T Ammo FTF

Hi All, I conceal carry using Winchester Ranger 147 gr-T series ammo. My Kahr PM-9 will not reliably handle this ammo. I am now well into 600 rounds thru the PM-9, using approximately 200 rounds of the RA9T (hollow point). The other 400 rounds, various 115-147 gr round nose. No problem with this ammo.

The RA9T is flawless in my Glock 17-19&26. Also my Sig P226 & 229.

I use 5 OEM Kahr mags and can expect 2 FTF's using any of the 3 seven round mags.

The PM-9 will reliably handle round nose ammo.

    Thanks for your help/input.

Is it a feeding issue? some kahr feedramps are slightly less than smooth. i throat and polish feedramps on my kahrs when new and have never had a feeding problem even with large mouth hollowpoints. i do know if you dont clean the little ones like every 500 or so youll get an occasional reset problem pop up,at least ime.

Thanks for info. I'll check the feed ramp and use a little elbow grease to help smooth it out.

147 grn ammo is not going to work in your kahr, they are too long, the kahr chamber area is too tight, as you can see they had mill off the side of the feed ramp to get it to work in the thin kahr pistols.

go back to the factory recommended 115 grn ammo and it will feed ok.
