Federal Bill: HB-2910 (backdoor AWB imo)
Check out House Bill 2910:
http://amgoa.org/Proposed-Federal-Gu...ederal-Law/477
It seeks to:
* Define an "assault weapon"
* Restrict import of semi and auto weapons kits
* Restrict businesses from advertising "parts kits" and things like 80% lowers
This looks pretty benign as gun-laws go, but it seems like a foot-in-the-door tactic. But as it stands, it could become very annoying to those of you who own older foreign weapons, or even those of you who like to build their own AR, custom Glocks/1911s, etc.
Change or delete a couple of words in this bill and it could become a ban on selling those items, even an AWB since the "assault weapon" definition is in there.
So a future rider bill with a very innocent "change this word to that in this law" could become a full-on AWB or severely limit availability of certain products.

There s absolutely nothing benign about this bill, and I haven't read it yet. The above is all I need to know.

Absolutely, its a huge turd waiting to drop.
Tell your House rep to not support this bill, especially with the sales/import restrictions and "assault weapon" definition in it.
As it stands this bill is useless for solving any violence problem, it states that gun violence is an "epidemic" (incredibly intellectually dishonest considering how much violence in general has dropped while gun ownership is up).
Tell them a useless law is worse than no law at all and ask them to look up if home made receivers are statistically significant when it comes to violence.

The Libtards are ramping up their sneaky back door efforts while our side appears to be regaining some complacency.
We best be paying attention. They will NEVER stop.
Thanks for bringing this to light.Its easier to fool people than to convince them they've been fooled....Mark Twain

They will stop when we extinguish them as a political and social movement. Our side needs to work on ramping up efforts towards accomplishing such. Ideas such as theirs have been defeated and thus extinct before so we need to do it with them (e.g. alcohol prohibition, those against women voting, British loyalists, etc.).
