that's why liberal talk radio bombs and conservative talk radio thrives. Regurgitated lies and spin get stale pretty quickly, but you can talk facts & logic all day long.

Here is why they need a manual on what to say:

There is one good thing about it.... they have published their play-book.

They are using a tactic that we have yet to employ. We have been focused on facts - Less than 5% of, or 85% of this, etc. Facts get lost. Numbers are just that -numbers. People don't remember numbers. Ask any married man who has forgotten his wedding anniversary. Ask that same man about the first girl he slept with - you'll get details you didn't want to hear.

Maybe it's time for us to wrap the facts into an emotionally based argument:

"Think of the {some number} women who feel like a 2nd class citizen today because they were VICTIMS of VIOLENT rape. How many MORE women need to be raped before they are allowed to carry a gun for their protection against these animals."

1. if {some number} has a comma in it, it's a big number. 1 or 2, meh. Get into the thousands, you have peoples' attention.
2. Buzzwords, buzzword, buzzword - VICTIMS, VIOLENT
3. make it sound like the problem is not going to get better any time soon - how many MORE...
4. Paint the aggressor in the worst light possible - "animals".

Likewise, turn every high profile rape case into a 2A issue - "If she was allowed to carry a gun, she could have defended herself." Make the issue about the right of self defense, not armed aggression.


Some may see this idea as stooping to their level, others will see this as fighting fire with fire.
