    Default Inexpensive 5.56mm Piston Rifles

I thought there was one around $800-900 new. I thought it was the SIG 556, but I don't see any of those under $1100, and most much more.

Are there 5.56 piston rifles under $1K? Not talking ARs with piston uppers.

Are the Kel-Tecs piston guns? Also used AR180s, Daewoos, Galils, AKs fit the bill?
All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

No you don't want one of them.

What you need is a double barrel shotgun, with a quad rail, a bayonet, a taped on flashlight and a blender. Far better weapon. I think PSA carries the parts you need.

Well, the Mini-14 is a solid 5.56mm piston rifle, a new one can often be had for under $700.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not looking to buy anything. I just couldn't remember the gun I was thinking of. I think it must have been the SIG 556. Maybe it was a sale or something.

Could have been, and you can't go wrong with the newer Sigs. I'd suggest getting one even if it is slightly more than $1000.

The stocks are actually black, although they do look green-ish in that picture.

I have a Stag model 8 piston rifle and it has ran flawless.

Cost $995 a few years ago.
