Hey everyone - Looking to purchase some night sights for my full size M&P 40.

Thanks, rob

I'm a fan of meprolight. They're bright, big, and are backed by Kimber. However, you won't be able to tell your friends that you have the more expensive Trijicons
I have Trijicons on my VBOB. I like meprolight better. There's no such thing as a free lunch.

I've seen just about all of the various sights out there and I prefer the XS sights the most. Specifically, the Big Dot sight for a carry gun.Last edited by 625; July 23rd, 2013 at 03:26 PM. Reason: grammar

Re: Looking for some ideas on night sights...
either the trijicon hd's, the ameriglos that are just like the trijicon hd's or tfo's. I had hd's on an xd, busted the front one and replaced with the ameriglo equivalent (trijicon wanted 90+30 shipping, the ameriglo was under 60 all in. damn near exactly the same sight.) if you go amerglo, I suggest the all black serrated straight 8 style dots. the tfos I have on 3 glocks and they've been solid for almost 2 years now on the oldest set. these I suggest the dual color with green front set as the eye is drawn to green more than any other color and these are bright enough day and night that green on the back makes it a bit harder to focus on the front sight. these are my opinions only from my experience and as always your mileage may vary.

Thank for the ideas. I took a quick look at each mentioned... looks like I can't really go wrong with either one of them, just a matter of preference.

Re: Looking for some ideas on night sights...
Trijicons are very high quality and hard to beat. They are more heavy duty than other brands IMO. I've had the iridium vials fall out of cheaper sight. Once was a pair of meprolites and the other was an older set of unknown origin.
