Default AA .22lr conversion kit for Glock 19 Gen 2

I have a .22lr conversion kit for my glock. When I am able to find CCI mini mags the kit works great. But since the ammo shortage I have not found too much CCI. Almost all the other brands I have tried don't cycle right and I am left with a lot of misfires, 3 or 4 per 10 round magazine. My question is If I lighten the slide would that help cycle the rounds? TIA

I wouldn't modify the kit like that, the only thing I would try is maybe polish up the feed ramp and chamber and see what happens.

I have a AA kit for a G17 and my shoots best with rem golden bullets, rem thunderbolts, CCI mini mags and CCI tactical AR 22 ammo. I know the ammo situation sucks but your best bet is to try and get the ammo it likes.
