What is the best NON 1911 45 / Post pics if you have them.

Thinking about buying myself a 45. Just because I don't have one. Don't really want a 1911 model. So, in your opinion, what is the best 45 caliber pistol on the market. It's main purpose will be daily carry.

Tell me why you think it is best. Pros... Cons... What makes it special compared to other pistols. Post pics if you have them.

HK USPc .45 or HK 45C would be my go-to for a .45 carry gun

Sig P220 Elite Carry Dark. Phenomenal gun, but I just don't feel like taking the time to master the first trigger pull. I love shooting it though, the SRT is absolutely stellar.

For me it is S&W M&P series, next would be Glock.

I will submit my vote for the M&P line from Smith & Wesson. I have a full size and a compact .45 and they are soft shooting, accurate and fit many hands, including mine, just right.

Customer service from S&W is second to none and the quality of the build, even though mass produced, is very good.

There are several I would put near the top, some of which comes down to your personal preferences on hammer or striker fired etc. HK USP, Sig P220, M&P 45, and FN would be my top picks. As for my choice, it's a P220 Compact SAS. I like a hammer and the DA/SA setup, and I shoot the Sig as well if not slightly better than the others. I got the SAS model because it had all the features I wanted like the SRT, and night sights, and I had no need for the rail.

For daily carry a G30 IMO is hard to beat. I had one and it was by far the best shooting sub-compact 45 I ever owned. Here it is and this is one gun I wish I kept.
